Naples hosts the first SEP Matching Event
Startup Europe Partnership lands in Naples for its first SEP Matching Event. The new European Platform – announced just a few months ago by Neelie Kroes in Davos at the World Economic Forum – will make its debut in Italy, on May 12th, in the amazing scenario of Castel dell’Ovo, a seaside castle located on the Gulf of Naples.
During the afternoon Matching Session (reserved to SEP Corporate Members), top notch startups from all over Europe will have the chance to meet senior managers of large corporates (from corporate development, innovation center, corporate venture, marketing and alliance units) such as Javier Placer (Director Open Future Telefónica), Gustavo Vinacua (Director of BBVA Innovation Centers & Open Innovation), Telmo Perez (Vice President of France Telecom Group), Clara Gutierrez Sanz (BBVA Venture), Alexia Froudkine (Director Developer Marketing & Alliances, Orange Partner), Ana Segurado (Telefónica Private Equity and Venture Capital).
Startups admitted to the SEP Matching Session will be selected by the SEP Scouting Team based on specific areas of interest/verticals indicated by the SEP corporate members. The selection process is on going and performed through the SEP European network of partners (accelerators and funds).
In the morning of the 13th an Open Session will be organized to share best practices re: corporate-startups relationships and corporate venture initiatives (corporate accelerators and corporate venture capital) with speakers from BBVA, Enel, Orange, Telefónica. Here is the link to the full agenda. Isidro Laso Ballestreros will open the session by presenting the Startup Europe line of actions. Alberto Onetti (Chairman, Mind the Bridge) and Simon Schaefer (Founder, Factory Berlin) will provide more details about the Startup Europe Partnership strategy. Also the Italian Government (Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico) is scheduled to attend.
The first Startup Europe Partnership Matching Event is organized in partnership with GoGlobalNow and the support of CESVITEC.
