2017 Europe’s Corporate Startup Stars Award Ceremony

SEP Europe’s Corporate Startup Stars  Award Ceremony  represents the occasion to celebrate the best European corporates working with startups and to share best practices.

Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, keynotes during the 2017 Award Ceremony of SEP Europe’s Corporate Startup Stars. The discussions will be intellectually informed by “Open Innovation in Europe”, a research brief prepared by Mind the Bridge and Nesta about the main outcomes from the data analysis. Alberto Onetti, Chairman Mind the Bridge, Coordinator Startup Europe Partnership (SEP), moderates the 2017 SEP Europe’s Corporate Startup Stars Award Ceremony.

The Award Ceremony represents the official launch of Startup Europe Partnership 2.0.

Turning Open Innovation into Practice

Closed-door high-level working lunch with Commissioner Carlos Moedas with participation limited to 20 VIPs, chosen among the top 12 Corporate Startup Stars and the members of the selection committee (Constantijn Van Oranje-Nassau, Bindi Karia, Candace Johnson).

In this high-level working lunch, we will explore the best practices in terms of open innovation and startup-corporate collaboration. The meeting will be held under the Chatham House Rule.

 

SEP Corporate Startup Stars 2017 Award Ceremony

The discussions will be intellectually informed by “Open Innovation in Europe. A Snapshot of 2017 SEP Europe’s Corporate Startup Stars”, a brief prepared by Mind the Bridge and Nesta about the main outcomes from the data analysis. Carlos Moedas, Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, will be asked to provide his insight in a keynote speech. Members of the selection committees and experts will be invited as discussants. The event will continue with the announcement of the 2017 ranking and the special awards.

Open Innovation Forum

High-level group discussion among the heads of innovation to identify best practices and debate about priorities and challenges in open innovation. The interactive workshop will be facilitated by Mind the Bridge.

Open Innovation in Europe: Challenges and Priorities

Panel discussion and to wrap-up the insights emerging from group discussion. With the participation of members of the selection committee (Constantijn Van Oranje-Nassau, Bindi Karia, Candace Johnson) and European Commission (Isidro Laso Ballesteros, Head of Startup and Project Officer for SEP 2.0).
